Tampa Bay looks vulnerable right now, and Montreal knows exactly how to exploit it. The Canadiens just demolished these same Lightning 4-1 at Bell Centre two weeks ago, and nothing's improved for Tampa since — they've dropped back-to-back stinkers to Buffalo and Ottawa that exposed glaring defensive gaps without Hedman anchoring the blue line. The injuries are piling up at the worst time. Hedman's long-term absence leaves a massive hole, and with Point and Cirelli banged up, Tampa's depth is being tested against a Canadiens squad playing with maximum intensity. Montreal's riding genuine momentum after that gutsy shootout win over Florida, and the Bell Centre crowd will be absolutely electric. Sure, Tampa has the better season resume and some models see them grinding out a win based on experience and their earlier head-to-head edge. But right now, the Lightning look like a team coasting toward the playoffs while Montreal's playing hungry, physical hockey with nothing to lose. I'd back the Canadiens here — they've got Tampa's number at home and the Lightning's wheels are clearly wobbling.
