G2 carry a 4-1 head-to-head edge and look strong on Ancient and Inferno — nobody's disputing they're favorites here. But asking them to run a clean 2-0 sweep against this FaZe squad is a completely different proposition. FaZe just pulled off a 2-1 upset over FURIA, showing they can adapt mid-series and dominate on certain sides. Twistzz has been on fire leading their T-sides, and their Dust2 record is no accident — that's a genuine map win waiting to happen if the veto opens the door. G2 also aren't bulletproof. Their 1-2 loss to Vitality in the group stage exposed real cracks under sustained pressure, and FaZe's aggressive, unpredictable new lineup is exactly the kind of opposition that can expose those same weaknesses on the right map. The veto is where this gets decided. If FaZe can navigate into their comfort zones, they'll make this messy enough to take a map regardless of what G2 want to play.
