Bodø/Glimt head into De Goffert on 19 August 2026 with the stronger season-long resume. Six straight Eliteserien wins before the summer break, plus a clear European pedigree, make them the better side on paper. Nobody disputes that. But this market asks something harder than who wins. It asks whether the Norwegians can win by two clear goals away from home in the opening leg of a two-legged tie. That's a different challenge. Away sides in continental play-off openers overwhelmingly play for control rather than a blowout. A narrow 1-0 or 2-1 protects the tie just as well and leaves the job to finish six days later back in Norway. There's little incentive for Bodø/Glimt to chase a runaway scoreline on the road. NEC also have real credentials. They just eliminated Olympiacos, holding them scoreless away before winning 2-1 in extra time at home. That's proof they can raise their level on big European nights, even after a shaky 2-1 domestic loss to Telstar. De Goffert should be loud and difficult, and Bodø/Glimt will be without Håkon Evjen and August Mikkelsen, blunting their attacking edge. Put together, Bodø/Glimt are the better team over two legs, but a two-goal margin in Nijmegen is a much taller ask. One thing to watch: the scoreline at half-time.
