> ABOUT THESE RULES
These rules govern free-to-enter, skill-based forecasting competitions run by Eroteme (each a "Competition"). They apply in addition to our Terms and Conditions. Each Competition's own page sets its title, dates, prize and the matches to forecast; where those details differ from these rules, the Competition page prevails.
By entering a Competition you accept these rules and the Eroteme Terms and Conditions. The promoter is Eroteme ("we", "us"). Competitions are organised by us and are not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, any social platform, sporting body, or any market provider whose data we reference.
Competitions are free to enter and skill-based: winners are determined by forecasting accuracy, not chance. No purchase, payment, deposit or stake of any kind is required to enter or to win, and entering does not improve or affect any paid feature of the platform. A Competition is a prize competition of skill and is not a bet, wager, lottery or game of chance.
To enter, you must:
>Be at least 18 years old;
>Hold a single, genuine Eroteme account (one entrant per person);
>Be legally permitted to take part where you live, and the Competition is void where prohibited or restricted by law;
>Not be an employee of Eroteme, nor an immediate family member or household of one.
Open the Competition page and submit a forecast on its matches:
>Make your pick on a match before that match starts. Once a match begins, it locks and can no longer be forecast.
>One pick per match: your first forecast on a match is your entry for it and cannot be changed.
>Matches may be added round-by-round as the tournament progresses; you can keep entering new rounds until each match locks.
>Entries that are incomplete, late, or submitted other than through the Competition page will not count.
To be ranked and eligible for the prize, you must forecast at least the minimum share of the Competition's matches shown on its page (entrants below that threshold are shown as "provisional" and are not prize-eligible).
Ranking is by a combined score that weights both how difficult your calls were and how accurate they were across the Competition's matches, as reflected on the live leaderboard. The qualified entrant ranked first at the Competition's end time is the winner.
In the event of a tie, the prize goes to the tied entrant with the higher forecasting accuracy; if still tied, to the entrant who reached that score earliest. Our determination of the winner is final.
The prize is as stated on the Competition page. Unless that page says otherwise, there is one winner, the prize is non-transferable, and no cash alternative is offered. We may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable. You are responsible for any tax arising on a prize.
We will contact the winner after the Competition ends using the account's registered details. The winner must respond and provide any information reasonably needed to deliver the prize (and to verify eligibility and identity) within 14 days of being contacted. If the winner cannot be reached or does not respond within that period, or is found ineligible, we may forfeit the prize and award it to the next eligible entrant.
Competitions must be entered fairly. We may exclude any entry or entrant, withhold or reclaim a prize, at our reasonable discretion, for conduct including:
>Using bots, scripts or automated tools to enter;
>Operating multiple or fake accounts, or entering on behalf of others;
>Manipulating, colluding, or exploiting bugs to gain an unfair advantage;
>Any breach of these rules or the Eroteme Terms and Conditions.
Each match is scored using the official outcome reported by the underlying market provider whose data the Competition references. Results are settled once those markets resolve, which may take some time after a match finishes. We are not responsible for delays, errors or changes in third-party data or resolutions; where an outcome cannot be reliably determined, we may exclude that match from scoring. Our final standings, made in good faith, are final.
We may amend these rules or a Competition's details, or postpone, shorten, extend or cancel a Competition, where reasonably necessary (for example if matches are postponed, abandoned or void, or for reasons outside our control). If a match is void, postponed or abandoned, it may be removed from scoring. Where we cancel a Competition before a winner is determined, no prize will be due. We will use reasonable efforts to communicate material changes on the Competition page.
Competitions are provided "as is". Nothing in a Competition is financial, investment or betting advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for matters outside our reasonable control (including third-party data, resolutions, network or service outages). Nothing in these rules limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
These rules do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
We process entrants' data to run the Competition, verify eligibility, and contact and announce the winner, in line with our Privacy Policy. By entering, you agree we may identify the winner by username on the Competition leaderboard.
These rules are governed by applicable law, and any disputes are subject to the same governing law and dispute provisions set out in our Terms and Conditions.
